Post-Funeral
It’s Christmas Theo – it’s the time of miracles!
We drop in on the De Tonnerres and see how it’s going down after the death of the family patriarch.
And that’ll be it for VANGUARD till after the holidays. See you on Friday January 3rd when the updates continue. I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and new year. Thank you for your continued readership and support.

Team Tension
Malachi is not a ‘good guy’. While his objectives are the same as the rest of the group, he cannot be considered a trusted ally.

Marion’s Request
Nara gets caught spying on Luke – Haha!

Test The Limits
Back to Avalon and Cates puts Luke through a test run of his powers. Three shots of his plasma blasts and he’s run out of steam. Considering that was the only attack that seem to hurt MaX at all, that’s not the best of news.
Also, Nara seems to have a bit of a ‘thing’ for Luke. You can see her check him on previous pages 😉

Cave of Emrys
So the last page was Woden keeping tabs on Pendragon as he buried his eldest daughter beside his late wife. How did his wife pass? We’ll be tackling that in an upcoming story.
Herne, although he has set in motion an uprising with Jordana/The Wolfshead, it would seem his plan isn’t quite so clear cut. I always wanted readers to be a little unsure of Herne and his motivations. Something which will be addressed in a few pages time.
Special thanks to Patreon Edward Burrell for naming the cave!

Graveside Pledge
Jump cut from Jordana wondering about the welfare of her family to her sister’s grave.
As we saw back in issue 16, Jordana’s actions inadvertently caused the death of her older sister.
Now the father is set on a collisson course with the daughter… and neither of them know it.

Owed Debt
It’s a shame that this page lands on a Friday, as the ‘jump cut’ to the next page is, if I do say so myself, a masterstroke 😉
Takedown275 – you are in the right ball park, but this isn’t General Phelps’ assistant.

Also, Vanguard is (about) 10 years old!
Painful Memories
The Quirin is haunted by past events, reliving them in painful detail.
I alluded to this incident on the previous page. You’ll have to know your Vanguard to get what’s happening.
If you don’t have an idea what the heck it going on, spin back to the first arc of the comic, which ends at issue nine.
Good hunting!
