V14 – Pg15

Have you ever been in a hospital waiting room in the dead of night? It’s an odd place to be. They’re desolated places, usually filled with the hum of vending machines and the smell of disinfectant.
Think of poor Rupert in a place like that. A failing company’s future resting on his shoulders and his father laying in a coma in a room down the corridor, it can’t get much worse for him, can it?
Oh yes it can.
Dan
I am under the impression that he isn’t going to be in that coma for much longer, and when i say that i don’t mean that he’ll wake up….
An astute observation, Thomas 😉
hospitals are kinda eery at night. theres little to no activity, with the exception of the A&E
Yes, easy to find yourself uneasy in such places.
While he’s no saint, I actually kinda like Rupert. He seems competent and intelligent. When he was talking to Violet, it seems he mostly just used some unfortunate wording; he doesn’t want his father to die, he’s just a little tired of working around him. However, he seems to have forgotten that he shouldn’t give his little psychopathic sister ideas.
Glad that he’s coming across that way. Rupert is trying his best and isn’t entirely a ‘bad egg’. He’s consumed by making sure his business is a success and his family are kept in the manner they are accustomed too.
Panel 4 is a bit confusing as the word balloons seem to indictae that Rupert is talking to himself.
Ah! Good spot! Will amend that.

Dunno what happened here – the graphic just didn’t link to the page
Agreed on Violet. She needs to be watched. I also think that Ginny might actually be able to survive on her narcissistreaming, albeit in a much reduced lifestyle.
