At this point, out heroes are totally unaware that Red Coats are in fact just working people, more likely coerced into serving. How will this affect the team? You’ll have to see!

And here are this week’s COMICS IF THE WEEK from the Spiderforest crew:

Monster Lands By J. Nelson- Monster Lands is a fantasy/dramedy story that focuses on the axe-wielding, monster-riding adventurer Othera as she battles against the tyranny of the evil queen Eren Lorry! It’s largely a character-driven story, written as sort of a deconstruction of fantasy tropes while also being a love letter to the genre. It is made of numerous short, standalone chapters which form the base for the longer, plot-intensive chapters.

Evil Witch Allie by Kristin Tipping- A comic about some average kids dealing with normal teen problems like babysitting the world’s worst magical girl, solving yet another murder, and getting that darn ghost cat to stop sleeping on the keyboard.

LittleLight Asylum by Julian Dominguez- In a strange orphanage where the little monsters really are little monsters, three friends are constantly getting themselves into supernatural misadventures.

Lets Get Ready to Rumble!

Old Pinky pops out of her trance just in time to see The Wolfshead, flanked by the Wight Wytch and Malakai, come charging out of the Cathedral ready for a fight!

And that’s it for the year! VANGUARD will be back in 2018. I hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year! I really appreciate everyone supporting and reading the comic. You’re the reason I do it 🙂

Deth-Boy takes off after Quirin in a rooftop battle across Salisbury!

NEWS:
Patreon has back tracked on it’s additional fee/charges. Hooray! If you un-subbed during all the uncertainty, please reconsider joining back up. The Patreon feed is going to have a bog overhaul in the new year. As well as this, I’ll be using the accumulated Patreon money to give the site an overhaul. Its design is pretty basic and I would like it to be a lot cleaner and easier for readers to engage with.

And that’s all it can take. Nudging a vehicle and setting off a car alarm. Sure it’s a run down wreck that’s not been started in years, but there was just enough to left to let of a few blasts of the alarm. Now Cates’ is down and bleeding, with Gun-Brain and Red Guards getting the drop on him!

Malakai and Jordana are now in a weird alliance of sorts. Did any of you see that coming?

Malakai has quite the back story and eagle eyed readers will have seen him pop up in a few other issues of VANGUARD. If you want to spot him, look for the guy in purple with spiky black hair 😉

Vision

So Malakai got it all a bit mixed up. Having been told his future would be through The Wolfhead, he presumed he had to slay her. However, her touch has granted him a vision of what he sought. London in flames and the city in ruins!
