A big welcome to you Collective of Heroes readers! You’ve jumped in right at the end of an issue. Feel free to go back through the archives and read the whole story so far. Out of curiosity, which webcomic did you come here from?

…and that’s the end of issue eight. The stage is set for a showdown between the Vanguard and the UK armed forces versus the combined might of the Hollow Men.

Fear not, Vanguard will return in a few weeks time! In the meantime, I’ll be doing a few pin-ups for other comics and doing some pages for Reynard City.

The Hollow Men have taken out everyone and everything that stood against them. They are mere moments away from completing their objective, whatever that might be… but someone has something to say about that. There’s a couple of ‘Easter eggs’ on this page. See if you can spot them.

Pendragon is in big trouble. He’s ended up in ‘The Sewing Room’, which was being used by Ophelia/Blakemore to interrogate McPhaidon.

We are a mere three pages away from the end of issue eight. Where did the time go?!

Happy St.Georges Day!… and carry on as usual, as we don’t really do anything for poor old St. George.

Pendragon Vs. Thade: Hey, I did say only one of them would be walking away from this fight. Heh heh. I doubt Pendragon will be doing much walking in the near future… if he manages to survive this encounter!

Not to sure if that first panel works. Wanted to show the two guys locked in furious battle just before the Hollow Men burst in. Looks more like a scene from ‘Fist of the Northstar’, which isn’t too bad, I guess.

Godiva saves the day – hooray!

If you didn’t see the post, Vanguard is in the process of being reviewed over a A Place To Hang Your Cape. Go take a read. Them seem to be enjoying it.

Looking over past pages, there are a number of times in which the artwork looks a bit dodgy, or I’ve made story decisions which I wish I hadn’t. Like a Shark, I think a webcomic creator should constantly be moving forward. Once you stop to go back and re-do pages – Boom! That’s when the troubles starts.

There won’t be an update Friday, it being Good Friday and all, so see you next week. Have a great Easter break!

It’s carnage on Downing Street as the Vanguard battle Section Nine… and now the Hollow Men get involved!

We last saw The Hollow Men prepping for their assault... but what is their objective?

Why are they called the Hollow Men? There’s a good reason and I’ll tell you in good time 😉

WAR! What is it good for!? – The economy? Keeping the population down? Heh.

Scratch another member of Section 9!
Vanguard’s resident bad ass, Ophelia, takes the fight to bad guys. On a side note, if you’ve never been on it, the London Eye is a great ride (?) and provides an excellent view of the capitol.

I put a silly amount of detail into panel three, most of which has be obscured. Hooray.
